London Social with Vishnu - Saturday 15th March

We very much hope you will join us for the first HVP Nepal-UK Social of 2025, as we celebrate the UK visit of a very special guest from Nepal...

Yes, the Principal of HVP Balkumari, so fondly remembered by generations of volunteers, will be in the UK for a month from the beginning of March and he is hoping to see as many of you as possible at our London social.
We will be gathering at Chutney's Restaurant near London Euston at 1pm on Saturday 15th March. Avail yourself of the delicious buffet and relax into the company of Vishnu and the HVP Nepal-UK community as he brings us up to date on all the news and developments of the three schools in Nepal.

The social will also be an opportunity to pay tribute to two very special trustees of HVP Nepal-UK, our outgoing Chair of many years, Matt Daw, and long-time Secretary, Eileen Daw. Eileen's cool-headed organisation and Matt's leadership of the charity have enabled us to support the three schools in Nepal - HVP Balkumari, HVP Thali and HVP Dang - in profound ways. As well as leading on the Scholarship Scheme, volunteer training and fundraising for capital projects, in particular, Matt guided our response to the crises the schools have faced over the last 20 years: the Maoist uprising, the earthquake in 2015 and the existential threat posed by Covid. I know you will want to join us as we say a sincere thank you to Matt and Eileen for everything they have given to the HVP movement and - thankfully - will continue to give. Although stepping down as Chair, Matt will remain as a trustee of HVP Nepal-UK.
